1969 Amphibious Land Rover

Mr. Peter Winter was a hovercraft engineer. In this photo, he’s trying out his amphibious Land Rover at Yarmouth, Isle of Wight. It is fitted with a 6ft 6in,diameter Neoprene-nylon tire. The vehicle can ''swim'', or negotiate soft and uneven ground.
