1978 Fiat Ecos by Pininfarina

The Fiat Ecos by Pininfarina was a study for an environmentally-friendly electric city car, realized in co-operation with the Fiat Research Centre. The ecological sensibility would become only later of broad interest.


Electric city car wooden model. It was presented at the Turin Motor Show in 1978. The wheelbase was 2200mm. It was planned to be powered by a 26kW electric motor driving the front wheels. Twelve 6V batteries, each weighing 30kg, were to be installed.
