Proving what might be achieved with a few spare wedges from an old game of Trivial Pursuit, Ford's 1999 P2000 was half of a study (the rest is for a station wagon) to illustrate some vague notion of what we might drive in the future. Power for this what-if would come from a petrol-electric hybrid system. To be generous, such doodles did mark the foothills of Ford's move towards 'New Edge' design, if nothing more.
